Drew Cornell purchased Lafayette Signs in 2012 from Jake Griggs, a family friend and a great man. Drew graduated from New Mexico Highlands University in 1998 with a Degree in Graphic Design. After graduating, Drew moved to Houston where he worked at the Houston Chronicle as an Ad Builder working on the Real Estate and pre-press operations. From there, he began teaching at North Harris Community college and working at WearForm and SportZone developing websites and creating artwork. After Hurricane Katrina and Rita, he felt it was time to move back home to Lafayette Louisiana. Drew worked for Stratagraph where as a computer technician and later managed the computer department. After a two year stint of going offshore to fix computers and networks, he transitioned to a teaching role at Acadiana Technical College where he redeveloped the Graphics department to teach Adobe's creative suite. Finally, in 2012 with a hand shake on a hot summer day, Jake sold the business and handed over the keys to Lafayette Signs. Jake has been a great mentor and teacher and Drew is proud to continue to build on Lafayette Signs reputation of high-quality product, delivered and installed quickly at competitive pricing with great customer service.
